Easy to install

The first step is to remove the cover that was originally installed. This has to be removed before the new cover can be fitted.
After you have removed the cover, you can employ a flathead to remove the four major attachment clips out of the passenger side of the fob assembly. These are marked in red on the image below. Also, note the tabs for locating slots shown in yellow that must be removed also.
After removing the battery, replace it with a brand new 3 volt coin cell battery. Make sure that the "+" positive side of the battery corresponds to the opening of the fob, and that the -" negative side is facing the rubber buttons.
Re-attach the passenger side mirror cover by aligning the locating tabs. Once you have completed this, insert the fob that is on the driver's side back in your vehicle and test it by pressing the button on the front of the car key. If everything works as it should, your car should activate the parking lights and your doors will lock automatically.
